Initial Situation – A Coincidence
Sometimes the best collaborations start with a mistake.
Actually, our LinkedIn automation was supposed to reach out to marketing people. Instead, the message landed directly with the managing director of AutoPlus, Michael Gänsthaler.
Although the pitch was honestly completely off-topic, the energy behind it matched. Mr. Gänsthaler became curious, and thus an appointment was formed that turned a banal coincidence into a real game-changing project.
Problem – PDFs in Premium Sales
During the first on-site conversation, the actual challenge came to light: The sales team of AutoPlus was in the middle of winter tire business – and had to convince their customers with a PDF.
The problem: scrolling, flipping pages, searching. No clear storyline, no wow effect, no brand presence at market leader level. The salespeople had difficulty navigating the conversation confidently, and customers were rather "pushed through" than inspired. In short: The most important tool in sales was a stone in the gearbox.
Solution – The SlideFunnel for Field Sales
Instead of simply making the PDF prettier, we decided with AutoPlus to rethink it completely. The result: an interactive SlideFunnel in PowerPoint, modularly structured, clickable, dynamic – perfect for the iPad in customer conversations.
The content was broken down into clear modules (product groups, benefits, conditions, team, etc.), the design elevated to premium level, and a navigation was built in that allows salespeople to jump directly to where the customer wants to go. No more scrolling, no chaos – just a fundamentally simple sales support that feels like high-end software.
Implementation – Quick, Agile, Together
The process ran in record time:
On-site meeting → analysis of the old PDF.
Content broken down into modules, modern design developed in Figma.
Clickable prototype created within 2 days.
Feedback loops via Loom video and live conversations → immediate optimizations.
Final implementation in PowerPoint with interactions and jump logic, fully operational on the iPad.
And AutoPlus had another idea: "Can’t we make this available for end customers on the web as well?"
Normally hardly feasible, but we built a solution that made it possible.
Result: The SlideFunnel was not only used in field sales but also embedded directly on the website. Customers could click through products, discover, and even order winter tires.
Result – From PDF to Sales Platform
In less than three weeks, a static PDF transformed into an interactive sales ecosystem across multiple channels:
Field Sales: smarter, more flexible conversations, significantly more professional appearance.
End Customers: interactive web version, newsletter rollout, explanatory video → immediate ordering opportunity.
Long Term: The SlideFunnel is evolving into a sales platform with analytics, tracking, and new areas that will gradually increase revenue. That’s what we are currently working on.
Before: PDFs that excited no one.
After: interactive sales tool that makes life easier for salespeople, actively involves end customers, and directly generates revenue.
And it all started with a mistakenly misdirected LinkedIn message…
